The Sick Mom's Guide
re-release coming soon…(details below) This is the first of Jen Hardy’s books, written when the doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong, she had 6 kids at home, and wanted to make sure you didn’t have to struggle like she was.
It features 100 things to do with your children, 50 of them when you can’t even get off the couch!
Do you remember sitting and daydreaming about what your wonderful adult life would be?
When you’d grow up & do anything you wanted – go anywhere you wanted. You would picture yourself having cake and ice cream for breakfast, laughing and skipping throughout the rest of the day.
Then you grew up.
Somehow life isn’t as much fun as you envisioned it at all. That “to-do” list took over and mopped up all the silly girly-ness that once glowed from your happy face. Illness and pain have crept in.
Adulting has stolen your fun. The Sick Mom’s Guide is giving it back to you.
Inside the Sick Mom’s Guide you’ll find:
A complete guidebook to enjoying your life again
- 50 Fun things to do with the kids
- 50 more things to do with them – even when you can’t get off the couch
- How to ditch that Mom guilt!
- And much more…
Anxiety, depression, or a chronic illness don’t need to rule your life.
If you work all day, coming home with only enough energy to have dinner and crash, it’s time for that to end. Why?
- Because you are lovable.
- You are worthwhile.
- You are a superhero to your children.
- You deserve to be happy and enjoy your life!
There are rays of joy are all around you, and you’re about to start seeing them.
This book answers these questions:
- I’m stressed out, overwhelmed, and just can’t find joy in anything anymore. Is there anything I can do to feel overcome all of this so I can just have fun?
- No one around me understands what I’m going through. I feel so alone. How can I laugh and be happy when I’m so isolated?
- Even when I can go out, my mobility & energy are limited. Some days/weeks/months I can’t get off of the couch. I want to have fun again. What CAN I DO?
- I have one word when I think about cooking….AAAHHHHH! How can I make meals and have fun while doing THAT, especially with kids under my feet?
- I can’t go anywhere on vacation, but I really need a break from my day-to-day life. What can I do?
The Sick Mom’s Guide is a love letter to you – a mom who is sick and tired of being sick and tired.
I look forward to your happiness, you’re worth it,
Love,
Jen
Why this book needed to be written:
I’m a collector of eclectic diseases & mystifier of physicians.
After years of looking for help with how to enjoy my life while being a mom with multiple health challenges, it was time for me to create it!
I wrote a blog for a few years and worked on my writing, then in 2017 I wrote this book after seeing that so many moms were struggling the same way I was.
We were so exhausted from doing the “have-to’s” we didn’t have any time to enjoy ourselves. That doesn’t make for a happy mama, or a happy family life.
This book is a how-to guide on enjoying our lives. You really can have fun again!
